Launched in June, 2010 by Samsung, the Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S uses a 1 GHz processor as CPU also called hummingbird. This processor is also supported by a smaller microprocessor. Weighing at just 118 grams, the Smartphone is not only lightweight but also very sleek and stylish. It is 122.4 millimeters long, 64.2 millimeters wide and just 9.9 millimeters thick. The Smartphone comes with a memory of 512 MB RAM. With various input options like Multi touch touchscreen display, 3-axis accelerometer, extra 3-axis gyroscope, digital compass, proximity sensors, light sensors and a new feature called Swype, the Galaxy Tablet is very user friendly.

Samsung soon released its Galaxy tablet in Europe, United Kingdom, and many countries of Asia. This base version of the Samsung Galaxy was soon followed by a range of variant models for the different markets.
